Missing person alert canceled for woman taken by knifepoint from Jackson Township | Update

JACKSON TWP. ‒ Township police on Sept. 18 canceled a statewide alert for a woman who was taken by knifepoint at 6:26 p.m. Sept. 17 in a vehicle from the Sunset Strip Avenue NW area.

Police had urged the public to look out for 31-year-old Kayla Giltz. Authorities alleged that she was taken by Jamie Triplett and said they are concerned for her safety.

The vehicle involved is a gray 2021 Hyundai Venue with Ohio license plate number KBV3314.

Giltz is described as a white woman, 5-foot-7, weighing 200 pounds and having brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a polka dot star dress.

Triplett, 38, is described as a white male, 5-foot-2 and weighing 180 pounds. He is bald and has blue eyes. He was last seen wearing sweatpants, a hat and white shoes.

Authorities asked people to call 911 if they see Giltz, Triplett or the vehicle. People also can call Jackson Township police at 330-832-1553.
