The injury bug has finally caught up and is taking some big bites out of the Spartans.
After a mostly healthy first few weeks to the season, things changed this past weekend against Youngstown State. A number of key players got banged up in the win over the Penguins, including star wide receiver Nick Marsh and starting running back Makhi Frazier.
On Monday, Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith provided an injury update on Marsh, Frazier and a few other key Spartans during his weekly press conference. Here’s the latest notable injury updates on the Spartans, per a post on social media from Chris Solari of The Detroit Free Press
Michigan State is a two-touchdown underdog in this week’s road game at USC. This will mark the Spartans’ first road game of the season, and will also be their first Big Ten tilt of the year.
Kickoff from Los Angeles is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET on Saturday. This matchup between the Spartans and Trojans will be televised on FOX.
