The special hot glass demo series will continue and happen every Saturday at CMoG from Sept. 13 to Oct. 18, according to Kelci Sibley, a CMoG spokesperson. The Hot Glass Team will create original pumpkin-centric creations inspired by ghosts, ghouls, monsters and more.

“Fall fun will kick off on Sept. 13th with the 3rd annual Great Glass Pumpkin Experiment,” said Beth Duane, Chief Marketing and Visitor Experience Officer at Corning Museum of Glass.

Each pumpkin is crafted to reflect the unique personality and style of the artist, creating a one-of-a-kind piece, CMoG officials said. The experiment includes live demonstrations where guests can witness the glassblowing process in action.

Visitors can also see the world’s largest glass pumpkin, on display in CMoG’s Courtyard Lobby.

CMoG is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Spurrier Courtesy Shuttle, which connects the Welcome Center, the Museum and Corning’s Market Street, operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. through Oct. 31. Children and teens 17 and under receive free admission.

CMoG is the foremost authority on the art, history, and science of glass, CMoG officials said. It is home to the world’s most important collection of glass, including the finest examples of glassmaking spanning 3,500 years.
