6 takeaways from Colts' Week 2 unofficial depth chart vs. Broncos

Ahead of the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 2 matchup against the Denver Broncos, the team released its second unofficial depth chart.

This week’s depth chart mirrors last week’s; however, coming off Sunday’s win, we have a few notes and takeaways to make about where things stand, playing time-wise, at a few positions.

– Tenuta is listed as the backup left tackle, but he was a healthy scratch for Sunday’s game. Rookie Jalen Travis is the team’s swing tackle, filling in off the bench at both tackle positions.

– The RB2 role is listed as Giddens or Goodson. However, with Goodson out in Week 1 with an injury, Giddens assumed the RB2 role. We may still see Goodson in the early going when he returns, but it feels like it’s a matter of time before Giddens takes on that role on his own.

– Tuimoloau was a healthy scratch on Sunday, which initially came as a surprise. The reason behind that, as Shane Steichen highlighted, was that the Colts wanted more defensive tackles than ends active against Miami.

– Blackmon is listed as the backup nickel, but he seems to be the first outside cornerback option off the bench as well. Jones is currently navigating a hamstring injury.

– Based on snaps, Adebawore is ahead of Johnson on the depth chart.

– Lou Anarumo said on Tuesday that Joe Bachie and Cam McGrone will continue to split time at the WILL linebacker role.
