Ranking the top 5 games on the Rams’ 2025 schedule

The Los Angeles Rams find themselves upon another season, opening the campaign against the Houston Texans on Sunday. In a year filled with optimism following an offseason where the team added difference-makers such as star receiver Davante Adams and defensive tackle Poona Ford, Matthew Stafford’s health looms as a concern with a back injury that has been nagging him for months.

Entering a season with an abundance of exciting matchups, here are the top five games on the Rams’ schedule this season.

5. Week 5 vs. 49ers

The Rams find themselves playing an early-season Thursday night game in SoFi Stadium against the 49ers. The Niners have had the upper hand in the regular season since the McVay-Shanahan eras began, but fans can expect to see an intense rivalry game on a primetime showcase.

4. Week 6 at Ravens

The most challenging AFC team that the Rams will play this season, Los Angeles will have their hands full with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and company. Baltimore also boasts a defense that features one of the best young stars in football, Kyle Hamilton, and added Jaire Alexander in the offseason to pair with Marlon Humphrey at the cornerback position.

3. Week 3 at Eagles

In a divisional round rematch, the Rams will look to avenge their 30-22 loss last season in the snow against the eventual Super Bowl champs. The Eagles return 10 starters on a star-studded offense that includes playmakers such as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and A.J. Brown. Philadelphia lost talented secondary pieces like  C.J. Gardner-Johnson and cornerback Darius Slay in the offseason, and also saw the departure of defensive tackle Milton Williams.

2. Week 15 vs. Lions

There always seems to be a little more intensity in this one, ever since quarterbacks Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford were traded for each other at the conclusion of the 2020 season. The Lions have got the best of the Rams the last two years, winning in 2024 on Sunday Night Football in Week 1 and in the wild-card round just the year before. Many eyes will be on this late-season matchup.

1. Week 16 at Seahawks

Often in years past, it seems that these late division games decide who makes the playoffs, and the sense is that it will be no different this year. The Rams play their last two of three games against NFC West opponents, which includes this Thursday night game in one of the loudest stadiums in America.
