The initial Athlete of the Week poll presented by Florida Power & Light celebrated a jack-of-all-trades playmaker in Jordan Figueroa, a great punter and a key piece of Choctaw’s secondary.
In the opening 21-14 win over Gulf Shores, he flashed his right leg and his hands with an intercepion and a number of punts inside the red zone. Come this past Friday versus Navarre, his legs weren’t needed in a 42-0 victory.
Who’ll follow the dual-sport athlete this week? That’s up for you to decide. Voting runs through Friday 2 p.m., so vote now and vote often.
