Washington all-stater commits to Missouri Valley women's college basketball program

Dani Guedet will be playing NCAA Division-I women’s college basketball.

The Washington senior announced on social media Wednesday her commitment to Valparaiso, deciding on her playing future prior to her final prep season. She had picked up an offer from Valpo on June 23, while also holding a D-I offer from Chicago State.

“Found home,” Guedet posted, adding yellow and brown heart emojis.

During her junior season, the 6-foot guard/forward averaged 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists for the Panthers, who were the Class 3A state third-place finisher and finished with a 36-2 record. She was named Journal Star Class 3A all-area, all-Mid-Illini Conference first team and an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association all-state third team.

Guedet is the younger sister of former Illinois State and Minnesota lineman JJ Guedet.

Valparaiso finished 13-19 overall and 9-11 in Missouri Valley Conference play during the 2024-25 season, losing to Bradley in the first round of the MVC tournament.
