Last weekend, volunteers from Marion-Naz, Dayspring Wesleyan, Hope Family Church and Minister El Shaddai worked together on a variety of projects, including landscaping, home repairs, laundry, meals at the jail, free haircuts and blessing downtown businesses.

Pastor Steve Estep from the Marion-Naz church hosted the 2025 event.

According to Estep, about 200 individuals and families were served by Restoration Weekend activities.

“Touching lives in a meaningful Christ filled way is our goal,” Estep said.

Around 8 a.m. Saturday a group of about 150 volunteers gathered for prayer before starting on their assigned tasks of goodwill throughout the weekend.

Restoration Weekend is an annual event organized by Marion-Naz (Marion First Church of the Nazarene) to serve the community through various projects.

The event involves volunteers partnering with businesses and organizations to make an impact on the community.

One of the residents served commented, ‘I could have never got this job done without your help.”

And this, is what it’s all about.
