After a road matchup against Ohio State, the UCLA Bruins return home to the Rose Bowl against a former Pac-12 rival when the Washington Huskies visit Westwood in Week 13 matchup.
The Bruins wrap up their regular season with two old conference rivals, with UCLA facing the USC Trojans in the regular season finale following the game against Washington. Last year the Huskies regressed to a 6-7 season after a national championship game appearance in 2023. While Washington took some lumps in year one in the Big Ten, it wasn’t all that surprising given how much talent departed to the NFL following their deep playoff run along with Kalen DeBoer heading to Alabama to take over for Nick Saban.
Demond Williams Jr. will be the Huskies’ starting quarterback after seeing good results as a sophomore last season. Williams threw for 944 yards (8.99 yards per attempt) with eight passing touchdowns to just one interception. Williams added an additional 282 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns. Williams played throughout the season for Washington but didn’t get full time action until the second half of the season, this year Williams will have the opportunity to stay on the field as long as he continues to perform.
Williams should have a strong receiving core to get the ball to, with Denzel Boston and Kevin Green Jr. being joined by Penn State transfer Omari Evans to fill out the depth chart. Washington finished 12th in the Big Ten by averaging 23.4 points per game but with a full season of Williams should see the Huskies climb the rankings in 2025.
