Anyone with information is asked to contact Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 414-224-Tips or P3 Tips.

The shooting comes only three days after a double shooting near the intersection of East Juneau Avenue and North Broadway on July 19 killed a 21-year-old and sent a 15-year-old to the hospital.

This most recent shooting is a continuation of what has been a steady rise in fatal gun violence in Milwaukee this year, with homicides in mid-July outpacing 2024 figures.

In light of the increased shootings, city officials and anti-gun violence activists on July 17 announced plans to host a convention on gun violence prevention Oct. 15.
