New Texas A&M basketball head coach Bucky McMillan entered the program with just one player left on the roster, knowing that in order to reach the 15-player threshold before the start of the 2025-2026 season, it would take an impressive haul from the transfer portal. Just three months after his hiring, McMillan has assembled a highly talented 13-player roster, which became official on Friday afternoon.
While the Aggies’ schedule has yet to be released, we now know every jersey number all 13 players will don, as we await the final two additions to the roster before the season begins in late November. From top to bottom, McMillan’s fast-paced system, which relies on offensive efficiency and press defense, gave way to the program’s first portal addition: North Alabama guard Jacari Lane, who will wear No. 5 with the Aggies.
However, former Texas Tech and Creighton guard Pop Isaacs and Indiana transfer forward Mackenzie Mgbako represent the roster’s star power that should lead the Aggies in several categories next season, while former Alabama and Kansas shooting guard Rylan Griffen was regarded as one of the best shooters in the country during his freshman season with the Tide, but after subpar first season with Kansas, he’ll look to rebound with the Maroon & White.
Here are the jersey numbers for all 13 players on the 2025-2026 Texas A&M roster.
McMillan has put together a roster that is certainly talented enough from an offensive standpoint to make a run at an NCAA Tournament bid, but it’s important to remember that this is a brand-new team that has yet to play a full game together, so expect early hiccups that should be mended before the start of SEC play.
