Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is planning another expansion, this time into a spot vacated in February by a well-regarded Johnstown restaurant, Ghostwriter Public House.
The Columbus barbecue restaurant, which has operated carry-outs, food trucks, drive-throughs and counter-service spaces since 2009, opened its first sit-down, full-service restaurant in mid-May in Marion. The Johnstown restaurant also will be called Ray Ray’s Ohio Style Barbecue.
Ray Ray’s is owned by chef James Anderson, who was nominated for a James Beard Award in 2020 as one of the top chefs in the Great Lakes region.
