The longtime and popular Peoria pizzeria Agatucci’s will be closed for summer vacation from Monday, July 21, through Tuesday, Aug. 12.
“Thanks for your continued patronage and we’ll see you in Mid-August!” the restaurant wrote in a Thursday post on Facebook.
The iconic eatery at 2607 N. University St. has operated at the same location since 1926 and regularly is voted among the best pizza restaurants around the Peoria area. Also on the menu are pasta, chicken, sandwiches and more.
The family-run restaurant is open at 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Ahead of the vacation, it will close early on Sunday at 7:15 p.m., the post said.
