Farmers Market on Broadway, other Green Bay area events canceled due to threat of flooding, severe weather

Multiple Green Bay-area summer events are being canceled or postponed July 16 due to the threat of severe weather in the Green Bay area.

Farmers Market on Broadway

The Farmers Market on Broadway has been canceled for July 16, the market said on a Facebook post.

“With safety as our top priority and having consulted with the National Weather Service and local meteorologists, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Farmers Market on Broadway,” the post said.

The Farmers Market on Broadway goes from 3-8 p.m. every Wednesday until Sept. 24. The event is a rain or shine event, but will only be canceled in cases of severe weather.

Green Bay City Band concert

The Green Bay City Band announced on its Facebook that its July 16 show will be postponed. Fans can catch the Octoberfest-themed show at 7 p.m. July 17 at St. James Park, 801 S. Madison St.

Under the Leichts

The “Under the Leichts” Beer Garden at Leicht Memorial Park will be canceled July 16, according to a Facebook post from the Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.

The July 16 FIT in the parks class will be moved to an indoor studio, taking place from 4:30-5:15 p.m. at 2600 Holmgren Way Suite 101, in Ashwaubenon the department also said.

Titletown

According to its Facebook, the following Titletown events will be canceled due to the weather:

The Green Bay area is currently under a flood watch and a tornado watch from 3-10 p.m. July 16 because of the possibility of heavy rain in a short amount of time. The National Weather Service Green Bay said the area could get 2-3 inches of rain. The weather service said the storm should taper off around 8 p.m.
