Ninety-three skilled nursing home facilities in Illinois are among 579 across the United States that have been deemed at-risk of closing after approval of the “Big Beautiful Bill” and its cuts to Medicaid.
Researchers from Brown University School of Public Health at the request of Senate Democrats identified nursing homes in the United States that treat the highest share of Medicaid patients (85% or more) and are at risk of closure because of reductions in Medicaid funding and other factors.
The list includes 66 nursing homes in Texas, 51 in Ohio and 39 in Missouri.
Illinois nursing homes has the most facilities on the list. They are listed below.
