Traffic advisories: Work on these Bay County roads could delay drivers

The Florida Department of Transportation has issued a number of traffic advisories for Bay County. According to an agency news release, the following roads will experience lane closures and delays as a result of these projects:

U.S. 231 resurfacing from County Road (C.R.) 2301 to North Campflowers Road

Drivers will encounter nighttime northbound and southbound lane closures June 29 through July 2 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving operations.

U.S. 98 construction from west of Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue to east of Louisiana Avenue

Drivers will encounter lane closures near the Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue gate at Tyndall AFB through July.

U.S. 98 (15th Street) resurfacing from east of the 23rd Street Flyover to Jenks Avenue 

Motorists may encounter intermittent nighttime lane closures June 30 through July 2 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for sidewalk and signalization activities.

U.S. 98 widening from Mandy Lane to east of Nautilus Street

There will be lane closures on U.S. 98 between Hills Road and Nautilus Street June 30 and July 1 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will be installing a barrier wall.

U.S. 98 widening from east of Nautilus Street to east of Richard Jackson Boulevard

The south side of Lyndell Lane at U.S. 98 is closed June 29 through July 3. Crews will be installing a pipe beneath Lyndell Lane.

State Road 390 bridge rehabilitation over Mill Bayou

SR 390 drivers will experience brief travel delays near the Mill Bayou Bridge July 6 through July 12.
