Livingston County residents should prepare to dance, eat and shop local this weekend.
Brighton’s Country Boots and Beats Festival runs noon-11 p.m. June 21 at Brighton’s Amphitheater on Mill Pond (AMP). It’s presented by the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and Lake Trust Credit Union.

The event was formerly called Yellowstone Country Music Festival and took place at Mount Brighton Ski Resort. Organizers changed the name of the event and relocated with the goal of supporting local business owners and merchants.
Country Boots and Beats is free to attend.
What bands will play for Boots and Beats?
Live music begins at noon June 21. Opening acts performing throughout the day include: The Fox and The Fiddle, Rob Stone, Jason Harper, The Jacki Daniels Show and Y’all Band.
The headliner is The Louie Lee Show starring Louie Lee — set to take the stage at 8:45 p.m. Lee won “Song of the Year” at the 2022 Detroit Music Awards, according to his website, and has incorporated many music styles into his work over the years, including metal, hip hop, rock, pop and country.

Boots and Beats will include food trucks, in addition to local bars and restaurants. There will be country-themed activities for all ages.
