The 2025 Steamboat Classic road races were held June 14, 2025, in Downtown Peoria.
This marked the first year in the Steamboat’s 51-year history that the newly rebranded “SC415” — representing the Steamboat Classic with its 4-mile and 15K races — hosted the 2025 USATF 4-Mile Championships. A field of 11 men and 15 women competed for the title at home of “The fastest 4-mile race in the world.”

Former Oklahoma State all-American Alex Maier won the USA Track & Field Male 4-Mile Road Championship at the 2025 Steamboat Classic, the first year the elite race was held at the Steamboat Classic.
“You can fly going down that last mile,” Maier said. “… Once you come around that turn, you just really send it. It’s fun. I really like it.”
