US Open tee times today: Round 3 pairings, how to watch as Sam Burns starts with lead

The third round of the U.S. Open on June 14 at the Oakmont Country Club will begin at 9:12 a.m. when Philip Barbaree tees off as a single player, due to an odd number making the 7-over cut.

The last twosome of leader Sam Burns (3-under) and J.J. Spaun (2-under) will tee off at 3:35 p.m.

After a difficult day of scoring in the second round on June 13, a 65 by Burns from the morning wave held up by the end of the second round, which was officially completed on Saturday morning after a weather suspension halted play at 8:15 p.m. on June 13.

Thirteen players returned to the course to complete their rounds at 7:30 a.m. Only one was among the top 10, Thriston Lawrence, and he made a 4-foot putt to post a 74 and finish tied for sixth at 1-over 141. Lawrence was 6-under at on point in the second round after three birdies in a row but he played his next nine holes at 7-over.

Only one player withdrew before the re-start, Zach Bachou. He was 15-over and had only No. 18 to play.

Burns finished at 3-under 137. Spaun (72), who shot a bogey-free 66 in the first round, is 2-under. The next-to-last twosome is Viktor Hovland (68), who is the only other player in red numbers at 1-under, and Adam Scott (70) who is even par.

Only two players among the top 10 entering the third round have won major championships, Scott and Brooks Koepka (tied for eighth at 2-over).
