Michigan State makes massive move, adds Tampa Bay Bucs scout to front office

Michigan State football has made a massive move, bolstering their front office, and aiding the roster construction capabilities of Jonathan Smith.

Antwon Murray has been tabbed to join Michigan State in a prominent role, according to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Murray, a former player at Boise State, overlapping with Smith’s tenure at Boise State, reuniting the two, has been a prominent front office member for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Murray spent the better part of nine years working for the Bucs in a scouting role. He will be tabbed as the Spartans Director of Player Personnel.

A major role for Murray in East Lansing will be centered around identifying and evaluating players both on the roster and within the recruiting world. He will be a critical piece in the roster construction for the Spartans going forward.
