Artists of the High Desert to reopen with complete rebranding, new location, new classes

In an area where the arts take a back seat to development, sports, and just about every other sector, the Artists of the High Desert do their best to keep the initiative alive.

Artists of the High Desert is one of the only organizations in the Victor Valley open to teaching children and adults about the arts. Classes range from painting and still life drawing to clay and birdhouse construction workshops.

The Artists have succumbed to hard times recently, and community support has been monumental in the organization’s continuation.

The volunteer-based Hesperia art club has completely rebranded and will soon host a grand opening in their new space, Artists of the High Desert board members announced.

Visit the Artists of the High Desert in their new workshop, attend the grand opening, or take an art class at 9648 Ninth Ave. in Hesperia to support the enterprise.

A new chapter for the Artists of the High Desert

The Artists of the High Desert moved from HD Art N Frame, which sold in March, to a more accessible space in Hesperia.

The move was great for the organization, board member Cyndy Mandell told the Daily Press, and membership numbers nearly doubled. There is ample parking space at the new setup, and the quiet, cozy environment is ideal for artists to hone in on the masterpiece at hand.

The Artists took the opportunity to rebrand and create a fresh start following the move.

The High Desert Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, June 27. Light refreshments will be served, and the instructors’ artwork will be displayed. A sidewalk sale of art supplies and artwork will also be available for purchase.
