HOLLAND — A fundraiser for supporting healthcare in the Holland community reached new heights yet again in 2025.
Holland Hospital’s annual Culinary Cabaret, which raises funds for the Holland Community Health Center, garnered a record-high amount for the second consecutive year in March. The event raised $243,936, topping last year’s then-record of $232,299.
The Holland Community Health Center, fully funded by Holland Hospital, provides primary healthcare services to thousands of underinsured and uninsured individuals and families in the Holland area.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming success of the 2025 Culinary Cabaret,” wrote Colleen Perdok, fund development coordinator at Holland Hospital. “The energy and generosity displayed by our attendees, sponsors, and volunteers were truly remarkable. This event exemplifies the power of community coming together to make a meaningful difference.”
More than 500 guests attended this year’s cabaret, which was held March 13 at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville. The event featured live entertainment, silent and live auctions, and “exquisite dishes prepared by the lakeshore’s finest culinary talents.”
Participating restaurants included 1983 Restaurants, Big Lake Brewing, Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant, Borrowed Time, Butch’s Dry Dock, Crane’s Pie Pantry Restaurant and Winery and Crane’s In The City, Culture Cheese Shop, Fenn Valley Vineyard and Wine Cellar, Gilmore Catering, Holland Cakery ‘n’ Sweets, Hudsonville Ice Cream, Mezkla Taqueria, The Pinnacle Center, Tulyp Hotel and Uncommon Coffee Roasters.
The Holland Community Health Center at 336 S. River Ave. was launched in 1995 by a small group of Holland Hospital emergency department staff members. The hospital has been involved with HCHC since it began, and took over full operational responsibility in April 2022 after previously partnering with other health organizations.
The center provides treatment at little or no cost to patients of all ages. Services available include routine primary care, behavioral health, preventative care, obstetrics, wellness visits, children’s health needs, vaccinations and more.
In 2024, HCHC served just under 5,500 patients, totaling nearly 16,000 patient visits. For more information, visit hollandcommunityhealthcenter.org.
