MEXICO CITY, Aug 13 (Reuters) – The U.S. government will resume activities throughout Mexico’s western state of Michoacan, the embassy said in a security alert on Thursday, after a partial restart last week in the violence-hit state that is the country’s top avocado-producing region.
The United States had suspended government activities in Michoacan earlier this month over security concerns, disrupting inspections needed to clear avocado exports to the United States.
