How to stop a riot.

By Mark Pearson

“When a nation rejects God, that nation rejects sanity!”

I have been watching these insane riots being played out in LA, New York and elsewhere this past week. In my opinion the law enforcement personnel has been going about this all wrong. Instead of carrying shields and wearing vests and helmets for defense and protection and using smoke bombs, teargas canisters and rubber bullets to break up the riots, why not just use water? Why in the world hasn’t the fire department been called in along with the police and use fire hoses to disperse an unruly crowd?

This is what I propose, a vehicle could and should be specifically designed to implement a hose on a turret that has protections for the people who are using it. The hose on these specific turrets could be regulated in such a way as not to cause undue bodily injury but would be effective in dispersing unauthorized and unruly crowds. These vehicles could be specifically designed to be used in crowd control and then be stored at all police stations, sheriff offices and National Guard bases. They would then be ready and be available for use at the first sign of trouble. This in itself would be a deterrent if they were strategically placed in front of demonstrators then there would be no need for a whole line of police officers in riot gear. I’m reminded of the movie, Support your local sheriff when James Garner who played the sheriff stopped a street brawl just by using a fire hose.

Think about it, water makes a good deterrent as all it does is get the rioters soaking wet.

Also there is a demoralizing effect about being soaked to the skin along with wiping out all those protest signs that they are carrying. An added benefit to using water is if it is chilly outside then it would be causing them to disperse just to get wormed up and dried off. I think that just the idea of facing these vehicles would be intimidating enough. These fire trucks should have large size tanks to carry enough water with them in order to soak down any number of rioters along with helping keep the city streets clean. (Ha ha!) If any fires were started by these rioters then they would be available to be used to put them out.

The only down side to this is if they were used in California, most likely there wouldn’t be enough water available to fill the tanks on these vehicles.
