Here we are again wondering Are We Nuts? One can’t help wonder when you take a hard look at what is going on in this country. People are being silenced, censored, and downright controlled. Never has it become more apparent than the lead up to the Presidential election.
If you are on Facebook or Twitter, you either know it is true, or you are closing your eyes to what is going on. Social Media and News media are deciding what you can and can’t say, see, or believe. Are We Nuts? Why are we putting up with it? This is America . . . remember, the land of the free?
Take a look at what the media is doing. Facebook and Twitter use “fact-checkers,” if that is what you want to call them. If they don’t agree with your posts, they stick a warning on it as not being true. Yet, in many cases, what is being posted is not only true, it just doesn’t fit their narrative. Twitter is purging users without a reason. CEO Jack Dorsey made the decision the Hunter Biden controversy could not be covered on Twitter. Complaints were made by users their posts were being deleted. He testified before a senatorial committee, admitting he should have allowed the controversy and not deleted posts. Well, duh . . . he should have known that. After all, there is a little thing called free speech. Twitter censored President Trump’s video of Dr. Stella Immanuel who discussed hydroxycloroquine’s success treating corona virus patients. She told of the success treatment of 350 Covid-19 patients who recovered being treated with the drug. You mean we shouldn’t report success stories on treatment of Covid-19 that worked? Are We Nuts?
Actor James Woods was suspended from Twitter for a period of time, and for what? For expressing opinions Mr. Dorsey didn’t agree with. Can’t have that, can we? People’s Pundits, Rich Baris and Laura Baris were purged from Twitter altogether because they refused to toe the line. A member of the Free Republic site (07Jack) stated, “I was proudly suspended from Twitter today for having the audacity to argue against those who want to abolish the Electoral College. My posts were polite and civil, unlike the mass of posts against me.” Countless others have complained of the censoring of their posts, being suspended for nothing other than posting a different point of view that Twitter disagrees with. Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch was locked out of Twitter for posting a lengthy Danish study on the effectiveness of masks as a prevention of Covid-19. The Twitter Gods didn’t agree with the outcome of the study. They threatened not to let him back in until he deleted the tweet.
Twitter is not alone in censoring. Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg was hauled up before congress committees more than once because of his censoring of those he disagrees with. Try posting anything about election fraud and see what happens. The “fact checking” police will tag your post for all to see. Never mind that it has been reported all over the country of ballots that have been dumped in dumpsters, ballots that were mailed out to dead people, to people who haven’t lived at the address in years, multiple ballots to one individual, and to people that are not even registered voters. Never mind that conservative poll watchers have been banned from watching the counting of the ballots in some states. Detroit ballot counters even covered the windows in one instance to keep anyone from watching. Never mind that some are not allowing the checking of signatures on ballots to make sure they match. Never mind there has been problems with the Dominion voting machines. Yet, we are told “Nothing to see here, accept the result of the election. Move on.” This is coming from those that haven’t yet accepted the results of the 2016 election!
A relative of mine was banned from Facebook for life because she dared use a few “choice names” to describe liberal politicians. Yet, there are those who refer to President Trump as a racist, an orangutan, orange man, stupid, bigot, anti-Semitic, white supremacist, a clown, narcissist, and bully. All of these names have been taken from posters on Facebook. You can see the same posters who are never banned for calling the president names, numerous conservatives have ended up in “Facebook Jail” for criticizing Former President Obama, Joe Biden and his Vice-President running mate, Karmala Harris.
In the senate hearing, Senator Blumenthal came right out and asked Mark Zuckerberg to remove Steve Bannon’s account because Bannon called him out for lying about his service in Viet Nam . . . he never served in Viet Nam. But, let’s censor Bannon for telling the truth! Are We Nuts?
It makes no difference whether you are liberal or conservative, you should welcome another point of view and be outraged when one side or the other is silenced. Never should any of us accept the silencing of free speech on either side.
President Trump was temporarily banned by Jeff Bezos from Twitter for “hateful conduct.” It’s not like Bezos has never said anything hateful about the president, now is it? But it is all right to censor the president for the same thing Bezos has done.
Lastly we come to the orders of governors across the country regarding Covid-19. Michigan’s governor went around a state supreme court ruling to again shut down indoor dining in restaurants, closed the high schools, movie theaters and banned sports. Pennsylvania’s governor is telling people to wear masks inside their homes. Ohio has set a curfew for 10:00 pm. Vermont says you can’t have friends over. Chicago’s mayor has recommended all gatherings in private residence be avoided, including cancelling holiday get-togethers. California’s governor mandates residents wear masks, avoid gathering in groups and social distancing. He then promptly violated his own rules while attending a gathering at a restaurant. Are we accepting this? Are We Nuts?
Here we go again with lock downs. They didn’t work the first time; what makes these governors think they will work the second time? Covid-19 is a serious problem, but since when do we give up our civil liberties for a pandemic when anywhere from 94 to 99 percent of the people survive? Is it about Covid-19 or is it about control? Why are we told we can’t have more than a few people in our own homes, but thousands can take to the streets, protest, and burn and loot everything in sight, and Covid-19 isn’t considered an issue?
Wake up America! Demand sites like Facebook and Twitter allow everyone free speech, not just those they agree with. Demand our government stop infringing on our civil liberties and just as importantly, demand that our elections be fair without corruption; that swing states, where corruption and voter fraud that has been so widely reported, give a full audited accounting of the votes, so all Americans know the true will of the people.
For if you are not concerned over the infringements that are going on in this country; freedom of speech, civil liberties, and open and fair elections, then we most certainly are NUTS!
