WAUSAU – A 23-year-old Weston man was arrested Aug. 5 after a police chase in connection with a shooting three days earlier.
According to a news release from the Wausau Police Department, at about 2 a.m. Aug. 2, officers were called to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the report of a 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound that was not considered to be life-threatening. The man said he was shot in a parking lot in the 800 block of South Third Avenue in Wausau.
The Wausau Police Department investigated the shooting and a suspect was identified. On the morning of Aug. 5, Marathon County Circuit Court Judge Gregory Strasser authorized an arrest warrant for Jacob A. F. Lo for first-degree recklessly endangering safety, according to online court records.
On the afternoon of Aug. 5, Wausau officers found Lo driving a vehicle in the city of Wausau. They tried to stop the vehicle and a pursuit began, according to the Wausau Police Department. With the help of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Bay Police Department and the Kronenwetter Police Department, they were able to stop Lo’s vehicle.
After a brief foot chase, Lo was arrested, according to the release.
