For the third consecutive year, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been named the player of the game after a Thanksgiving Day win. Love was FOX’s “Madden Thanksgiving MVP” after throwing four touchdown passes and coming up clutch on three different fourth downs during the Packers’ 31-24 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Love was previously FOX’s “Madden Player of the Game” for Thanksgiving in 2023 and NBC’s “Madden Thanksgiving MVP” in 2024.
Love threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Dontayvion Wicks on fourth down, hit Romeo Doubs for a 2-yard touchdown pass on fourth down, connected with Christian Watson on a 51-yard touchdown early in the second half, found Wicks again for a 1-yard touchdown pass and then put the dagger in the Lions with a 16-yard completion to Wicks on fourth down with under two minutes to go.
Love’s finished with 234 passing yards, four touchdown passes, zero interceptions, zero sacks taken and a passer rating of 124.2.
Dominating on Thanksgiving is becoming a yearly tradition for Love, who is now 3-0 in starts on the holiday during his three-year career as the Packers starting quarterback.
