Packers DE Micah Parsons feasts again on Thanksgiving, makes NFL history

Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons feasted again on Thanksgiving Day, and the All-Pro pass-rusher even made a little NFL history along the way.

During Thursday’s 31-24 win over the Detroit Lions, Parsons produced 2.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, three tackles for loss and 10 total pressures, per Next Gen Stats. He now has at least one sack in all five Thanksgiving Day games in his NFL career, and he pushed his career totals to 8.5 sacks, 18 quarterback hits and 41 pressures across five Thanksgiving Day games.

He also made some history. Parsons has 12.5 sacks in 12 games in 2025, becoming the first player in NFL history to produce at least 12.0 sacks in five straight seasons to start a career.

Among Parsons’ biggest plays against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day 2025:

Per Next Gen Stats, Parsons had a pressure rate of 38.5, the highest in a game since his rookie season. His 26 pass-rushing snaps ended up in 10 pressures. He also had four pressures on six third-down pass-rushing snaps, including a pair of sacks.
