I have been voting for a long time and never had a problem showing my driver’s license to prove who I am to vote.
If the Save America Act is passed, a driver’s license will no longer be enough to vote. The Save America Act would require voters to provide a birth certificate, passport or naturalization papers to vote. According to Politifact, it is estimated that more than 21 million Americans do not have any of these proofs of citizenship papers. Many people have no idea where their birth certificate is located and never had a passport.

If you are married and you took your spouse’s name, you would need a passport that shows your new married name in order to vote.
This could be the end of mail-in ballots because local election offices are not set up to collect new copies of photo identification for mail-in ballots.
