A Hilbert man was arrested Nov. 21 after authorities allege he fatally shot his 56-year-old father, according to a criminal complaint and the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 12:48 p.m. Nov. 21, Calumet County deputies were dispatched to a residence in the town of Woodville for a reported disturbance resulting in a man being shot, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. When deputies arrived, they administered life-saving measures, but the man died.
Ethan Graverson, 22, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Calumet County Jail. Graverson was charged Nov. 24 with first-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse modifier.

Graverson made his initial appearance in court Nov. 24, where his bail was set at $1 million. He remains in custody at Calumet County Jail, according to jail records.
Graverson is scheduled to return to court Jan. 5 for an adjourned initial appearance.
