A former draft pick of the Green Bay Packers has found a new home with the Denver Broncos. Wide receiver Samori Toure, a seventh-round pick of the Packers in 2022, signed to the Broncos practice squad on Monday.
Toure caught 13 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown over 22 games between the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Packers. Of his 13 catches, three gained 30 or more yards. He played 251 snaps — 112 as a rookie in 2022 and 139 in 2023 — on offense for Matt LaFleur. Toure caught his first touchdown pass in primetime against the Buffalo Bills in 2022 and also caught a pivotal two-point conversion from Jordan Love during the Packers’ comeback win over the New Orleans Saints in 2023.

Love targeted Toure on a 3rd-and-20 interception with the Packers trailing the Broncos 19-17 late in the fourth quarter of a loss in Denver in 2023.
Toure was cut by the Packers following training camp in 2024 but landed on the practice squad of the Chicago Bears, where he remained throughout the 2024 season. He returned to Chicago on a futures deal in 2025 but was released at final cuts in August. Toure did not appear in a game for the Bears.
Toure is now one of four receivers on the Broncos practice squad, joining A.T. Perry, Thayer Thomas and Michael Bandy.
The Packers face the Broncos — who just came back and beat the Philadelphia Eagles — in Denver on Dec. 14.
Toure was the 258th overall pick in the 2022 draft, or the fifth-from-last pick. The pick was acquired by the Packers via the compensatory pick process after losing running back Jamaal Williams in free agency the previous year.
