A Nocona woman was killed in a wreck in Montague County Sunday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The DPS said the wreck happed at 12:35 p.m. on Farm to Market Road 667 when a 2009 Nissan Sentra driven by Jamie Lynn Hunter, 57, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2026 Ford F-350 pickup.
Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the DPS media release. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the pickup, Eric Leslie Florance, 40, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, suffered minor injuries, the DPS said.
A 13-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, both of Guthrie, were passengers in the pickup and also had minor injuries, the DPS said. All three were transported to Nocona General Hospital for treatment. They were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The children’s names were not provided in the media release. The DPS has a policy of not releasing the names of minors involved in accidents.
