Residents in Northeast El Paso will have a new option for detailing their cars.
Car detailing goes beyond a standard car wash and includes a thorough cleaning, restoration and finishing process for a vehicle’s interior and exterior with the goal of achieving a near-new, showroom-quality appearance.
Nearly two-thirds of U.S. vehicle owners detail their vehicles annually, with prices typically ranging from $50 for a basic wash, $300 or more for a full detail, and as much as $2,000 for premium services like ceramic coating.
Where is it?
The new detailing shop is being constructed at Carvvy Auto Group’s location at 6000 Dyer Street, according to the city’s permit and licensing page.
The new detailing shop near Renegade Tattoo and Endless Car Towing Services, and just down the street from El Paso Auto Plex and Smart Tire in one direction and Tokyo Tea in the other.
What was there before?
The new detailing shop is being built on a vacant lot on Carvvy Auto Group’s property.
Plans call for a new pre-engineered, prefabricated metal warehouse for car detailing, though the city’s page does not provide details on how large the new facility will be.
Who is the contractor?
The licensed professional and applicant for the detailing shop is Daniel Aldrete of Aldrete Roofing and Construction LLC in El Paso. The owner is listed as Dante Garcia of El Paso.
The project is valued at $170,000.
