A crash has closed down a highway in Dallam County in the Texas Panhandle on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and traffic is being re-routed in the area.
“US 385, just north of Dalhart is closed in both directions due to a traffic crash. Traffic is being detoured to State Spur 17 and State Spur 24. Please avoid this area if possible. We will update our social media posts as more information becomes available,” the Texas Department of Transportation said in a traffic alert at 2:17 p.m.
