Texas A&M (13-3) is now 3-0 in SEC play for the first time since the 2022-2023 season after defeating Oklahoma 83-76 on Saturday afternoon, as first-year head coach Bucky McMillan has his team playing at an extremely high level, especially senior forward Rashaun Agee, who recorded his seven double-double after scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Even in a game where Oklahoma defended the perimeter well, Texas A&M shot 42% from the field and 30% from beyond the arc, including clutch shots late in the game, led by sharpshooter Ruben Dominguez, who hit four 3-pointers, and senior guard Rylan Griffen, who made three from deep.

No one saw this coming, but thanks to McMillan’s elite coaching, the Aggies are now considered an NCAA Tournament team if this success continues. Set to take on No. 21 Tennessee on the road Tuesday night, if the Aggies can pull off another road upset after defeating Auburn last week, Texas A&M will be in a prime position to win nine, ten, or more conference games.
After defeating the Sooners, Texas A&M jumped five more spots in the NET rankings, and after entering conference play at No. 65, the Aggies are now ranked 43rd and look to crack the top 30 over the next two weeks. Among the rest of the SEC, the Aggies are the ninth-ranked team in the NET, behind Auburn at No. 36.
Texas A&M will face Tennessee on the road at 6:00 p.m. and will air on the SEC Network.
