Texas A&M made its priorities clear in the search for a transfer wide receiver: size, experience, and speed. After hosting both Cam Coleman and Isaiah Horton—the No. 1 and No. 2 players at their position in the portal—the Aggies ultimately landed one of them. With Coleman committing to Texas, A&M quickly closed the deal with Horton.
While Coleman may have been the top target, the drop‑off to Horton is minimal. The former Alabama standout was one of the Crimson Tide’s most productive receivers in 2025, and his combined career at Alabama and Miami (FL) includes 112 receptions for 1,301 yards and 14 touchdowns. His résumé speaks for itself, proving he can produce at the highest level of college football.

Horton brings a physical presence to the perimeter and should complement Mario Craver and Ashton Bethel‑Roman immediately, giving quarterback Marcel Reed a big, reliable target on the outside. There’s already some built‑in chemistry, too—Horton and Reed were 7‑on‑7 teammates in high school.
Mike Elko has shown a knack for identifying roster needs and addressing them without hesitation. Horton checks one of the biggest remaining boxes on offense and is expected to slide directly into a starting role this fall.
