Charles “Gary” Lightfoot, 82, and Linda Eppers Lightfoot, 81, were last seen leaving the city of Panhandle on the afternoon of Nov. 27 and did not arrive back to their residence in Lubbock, according to the Carson County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Silver Alert was issued for the couple.

The couple were believed to be travelling in a silver 2024 Toyota Camy with Texas license plates TWN0925.

Gary Lightfoot was last seen wearing a gray sweater and black sweats. Linda Lightfoot was last seen wearing a black and white blouse, bulky silver necklace and dark pants.

The vehicle was spotted in Groom, Texas around 7 p.m. Nov. 27 and then on Friday in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Their direction of travel or destination is unknown.

The couple did not have a cell phone or other traceable devices. Carson County sheriff’s office officials said they believe the couple’s disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety as Gary Lightfoot is oxygen dependent.

Anyone with information about the couple is urged to call the Carson County Sherif’s Office at 806-537-3511 or call 911.
