The Houston Texans have never been afraid to make a move up or down for a player they want.
It won’t be the last time they consider making a deal either up or down.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Texans could be looking to move up or down in the first round. The rumor is that Houston could be moving up to target either Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq or one of the top linemen should they fall within decent range. If the right compensation is on the table, Houston could also move back into Day 2.
This would be on brand for Caserio, who since becoming the Texans GM ahead of the 2021 offseason, has executed 25 draft trades over the past five years. Last season, the Texans executed seven draft-day trades, including the team’s first-round pick last season.
The Texans currently have eight picks in the draft, but expect that number to expand or even decrease following a 12-win season last fall.
