The Houston Rockets will look to win their second game in a row on the road vs. the Toronto Raptors this Wed. (Oct. 29) evening after beating a tanking ball club from the Eastern Conference on Monday (Oct. 27) night. The Rockets are well-positioned to take advantage of a key member of the Raptors frontcourt rotation missing time if that player happens to sit because of some chronic pain issues given their size up and down the roster.
But even if that Toronto big man plays, Houston should come away with a win unless they lay the rare egg north of the Canadian border.
Records, standing, and streaks
Currently, the Rockets have a 1-2 record, which has them in a two-way tie with the Sacramento Kings for fifth place in the West.
The Raptors own a 1-3 record stemming from their current three-game losing streak, which has them in a four-way tie for sixth in the East.
What happened in the last game for each team?
Houston beat the Brooklyn Nets 137-109 at home, as alluded to above.
Toronto lost to the San Antonio Spurs 121-103 on the road.
Injuries
For the Rockets, Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Fred VanVleet (ACL) are out.
For the Raptors, Jakob Poeltl (back) is doubtful.
