El Paso police seek hit-and-run driver who killed pedestrian by EPCC Valle Verde

An El Paso man was walking across a street with his wife when he was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in an unsolved case that is Crime Stoppers of El Paso’s Crime of the Week.

Jesus Fernando Perez, 52, on the night of March 21, was fatally struck by an unidentified small, dark-colored four-door car sought by the police Special Traffic Investigations Unit, Crime Stoppers said.

At 8:40 p.m. on March 21, Perez was with his wife walking south toward a bus stop when Perez was hit by the car while crossing North Loop Drive near an entrance to El Paso Community College Valle Verde. Perez’s wife was not injured.

The car, which should have damage to its right front side, continued eastbound on North Loop Drive, police said.

Perez was transported to at University Medical Center of El Paso, where he died of his injuries.
