Coldplay shows El Paso some love with heartfelt video highlighting Sun Bowl performances

Coldplay continues to show the Sun City some love, days after the band brought its “Music of the Spheres” tour to the Sun Bowl.

The British rock band shared a video of its stop in El Paso with millions of followers on Coldplay’s official social media accounts, highlighting the borderland’s vibrant sunsets, mountainous skyline, and emotional moments from the sold-out performances on June 13-14.

More than 50,000 fans filled the stands at the Sun Bowl, with some traveling from as far as Chihuahua, Corpus Christi, Louisiana, and Edinburg for what many are calling “a life changing experience.”

The video shared by Coldplay also captured some of the most memorable moments at the pair of concerts, including devoted fans climbing to the top of a mountain for a view, a touching proposal, and the hundreds of thousands of wristbands that created a stellar lightshow.

El Pasoans returned the love by thanking the band for bringing a bit of magic to the 9-1-5.

“Come back to El Paso anytime! You’re familia to us now,” one person wrote in Coldplay’s Instagram comments.

“You’re invited to the carne asada!!! Thank you for two amazing shows!,” another person wrote.

On Facebook, the band also shared photos of the Sun Bowl stage and singing fans, while revealing the two performances in El Paso marked Coldplay’s 200th and 201st shows.
