A 31-year-old Wooster woman died in a three-vehicle crash Thursday evening on Cleveland Road in Canaan Township.
Imogene Osborne, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Wooster Post of the State Highway Patrol, which notes occupants of the other two vehicles were not injured.
At about 8 p.m. Osborne’s Nissan Sentra sedan went left of center and struck an International Semi-Truck and trailer that was northbound on Clevveland Road, according to the patrol. The Nissan became airborne, overturned as it went back into the southbound lane and then struck a GMS Sierra pickup that was pulling a horse trailer.
Osborne was wearing her seatbelt at the time of crash, according to the patrol.
A 61-year-old Ashland man was driving the semi-tractor and also was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the pickup, a 19-year-old woman of Creston, also was wearing a seat belt.
Assisting on scene were the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Canaan Township Fire and EMS, Central Fire and EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, Wayne County Coroner’s Office and Bear’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
