CANTON – The Stark County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Stark County OVI Task Force, will conduct two sobriety checkpoints today in Canton.
Officers will hold roadside checks for impaired drivers.
The first checkpoint will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 1801 Mahoning Road NE. The secondcheckpoint will be held from 8:30 to 11 p.m. in the 3700 block of Tuscarawas Street West.
“Remember: Impaired driving is never acceptable. Always make the responsible choice to plan ahead fora safe, sober ride home,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The agency also said it plans to host two checkpoints on April 30.
