Due to the $7 billion settlement with Purdue Pharma announced Monday, Ohio could be receiving nearly $200 million over the next 15 years.
The state has already received nearly $2 billion in settlement dollars, $45 million of which the OneOhio Recovery Foundation has distributed to organizations across the state.
The money comes from pharmaceutical companies for their role in the nationwide opioid epidemic and is intended to support prevention, treatment and recovery efforts in communities across Ohio.
OneOhio has not yet announced when its next round of funding will open, but together, funds distributed so far represent a fraction of the $842 million that the foundation is expected to receive over time through 2038, according to a spokesperson, separately from the Purdue settlement announced eariler this week.
Here’s how much southwest Ohio received during the foundation’s first grant cycle, between October 2024 and February 2025.
Region 1: Hamilton County
