The Mayor of Flavortown asked, and Skyline Chili delivered: a Guy Fieri-inspired Way is now available.
The Emmy-winning TV presenter and celebrity chef, best known for his Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” dreamt up the concept during an appearance he made Monday at Jungle Jim’s in Eastgate.
Fieri, who proclaimed he’s a Cincinnati-style chili-lover, told The Enquirer his ideal chili order during the event, which he hosted to promote his new Santo Spirits tequila.
“I like spice, I want jalapeños, but I don’t think you can go past a 5-Way right?” Fieri said. “If you go to Flavortown with it … because how great would it be to have some crumbled-up Fritos on top and some jalapeños on top, maybe some fried shallots. I could let it roll.”
And “let it roll” Skyline did, announcing Wednesday the custom Way with crushed Fritos and jalapeños. The chain broke the news in an Instagram post Wednesday.

“Skyline’s got the flavor, and you brought the fire. Let’s ride!” the Cincinnati-style chili restaurant wrote, linking to The Enquirer’s article that sparked the new dish.
Fieri went on to praise the Queen City’s culinary scene at Monday’s Jungle Jim’s event, calling it a “really cool” food city with “next-level chefs.” He also revealed he filmed at three Cincinnati-area restaurants as part of his beloved “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” series, but he wouldn’t share which ones yet (although we have some guesses).

The new Way in honor of the celebrity chef is available at participating Skyline locations while supplies last, the chain announced in its Instagram post.
It’s best to call your local Skyline to see if it is offering the new dish.
