A 15-year-old boy died, and police arrested a 19-year-old after a shooting Aug. 15 on Columbus’ West Side.
When officers arrived, around 3:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Raleigh Drive, they found Anthony Johnson, 15, unresponsive on the kitchen floor, according to Columbus police. Medics took Johnson to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he died at 4:40 p.m.

Detectives alleged in court documents that witnesses told them Johnson was in the home’s basement with Jordan Austin, 19, at the time of the shooting.
A SWAT team arrested Austin, according to police. He faces a murder charge in connection with Johnson’s death.
Austin remains at the Franklin County jail, with his first court date scheduled for Aug. 18.
