Police identify 27-year-old man killed in daytime shooting in Avondale

One man is dead after a daytime shooting in Avondale, according to Cincinnati police.

Quinton Nathanial Shouse, 27, was found shot in a parking lot off Fredonia Avenue, near Ridgeway Avenue, around 12:20 p.m. Oct. 6, according to a department news release and police on scene.

Shouse was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, the release says.

No arrests have been announced in the case.

There have been 15 people shot in Avondale so far this year, three of whom died, according to police data. By this time last year, 36 people had been shot in the neighborhood.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the department’s homicide unit at 513-352-3542.
