Come for the cow… stay for the concerts.
While a certain buttery bovine is a rock star in its own right at the Ohio State Fair, there will be numerous opportunities to see actual rock stars, as well as big-name artists in country, funk, R&B and other genres.
The diverse concert series kicks off on July 29, when Styx will invite fans to “Come Sail Away” in the air-conditioned comfort of the WCOL Celeste Center, located east of the Bricker Building.
One of this year’s hot tickets is “Weird Al” Yankovic, whose pop parodies and polka medleys have entertained multigenerational audiences for five decades.
Yankovic’s show on Aug. 5 has seen healthy sales, with the majority of seats at the Celeste Center filled.

Concert tickets purchased in advance include admission to the fair.
Children 3 and older must have a ticket for the concerts. Children younger than 2 who occupy a seat must have a ticket; those sitting on laps may do so without a ticket.
ASL interpretation is provided for each concert, with the interpreter on a riser at the front of section 105. Free assisted listening devices also can be borrowed from the box office, located inside the center doors of the building.
