Canton McKinley running back Kyelin West earned first-team honors to highlight the local players on the Division I All-Ohio high school football team, which was released Thursday, Dec. 11.
The All-Ohio teams are sponsored by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association and chosen by a media panel from across the state. The all-state teams for Divisions VI and VII were released Dec. 8, Divisions IV and V Dec. 9 and Divisions II and III Dec. 10.
Ohio’s Mr. Football, Grady Kinsey of Indian Valley, was announced last week. The 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association football season wrapped up this past weekend with the state championship games in all seven divisions being played in Canton.

West, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound sophomore, rushed for 1,504 yards. That ranked first in the Federal League and second in the area overall. He was the Northeast Inland District Offensive Player of the Year. West averaged 6.2 yards a carry and scored 12 touchdowns for McKinley, which went 9-3 and won the outright Federal League title. West ran for a season-high 198 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries in a 25-24 regional semifinal loss at Mentor.
