LANCASTER − Fans of Mexican food now have a new restaurant to try out.
Los Mariachis is now open at 1707 River Valley Circle North across from the River Valley Mall in a building that once housed Frisch’s Big Boy.
The Los Mariachis menu features items like taco salad, tacos, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos, seafood, desserts and more.
Samuel Torres is a manager at the restaurant.
“This is something where people can come in to feel happy,” Torres said. “It’s a family restaurant. Good family restaurant. We want to support Lancaster.”
Torres said business has gone well so far since the late June opening. He also said the location by the mall is a good one. Additionally, Torres said some items that make up the restaurant’s decor come from Mexico, including parts of the seating booths.
Torres said military members and first responders get 10% off their bill. Those 65 and over also get that discount, he said.
Besides the new city location, Los Mariachis has restaurants in Chillicothe, Circleville, Columbus, Nelsonville, New Lexington and Groveport.
Torres said the company may expand to other locations in the future.
Los Mariachis is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
